The design
This print contains many elements of Japanese symbolism. Water for calm and continuity, cherry blossom represents the fragility and beauty of life and peonies are know as the king of flowers representing good fortune, bravery and honour.
Sogara Yuzen papers consist of a single image, silkscreened by hand across the entire sheet of paper. These magnificent papers make wonderful gifts just framed or as a floor lamp where the whole sheet can be illuminated from within.
